Abdulsalam Kamaldeen Idowu was honourned by house of representative for seeing himself through school despite his disability.

The cripple and formerly a begger was honourned for graduating as a Lawyer and a Political Scientist, also honour by the lower chamber is Miss Arinola, the first student in 28 years to graduate with a distinction in Surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University..


The decision to honour these outstanding Nigerians follows the adoption of motion sponsored by the house leader, Rep Femi Gbajabiamila.

The house of representative then  establish a Parliament honour award system by law to recognition of extra ordinary achievement by Nigerians.
