The presidential candidate of the Action Congress (AC) in the last general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu have said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has held Nigeria to ransom by failing to provide purposeful leadership.

They, therefore, vowed that AC was determined to work with opposition parties and take over power from the PDP come 2011.

Speaking at the AC rally held in Onikan stadium ,the duo noted that in the last two and half years the economic activities of the country have been in comatose because the PDP failed to provide a responsible leadership.

According to Atiku, AC did sympathise with President Umaru Yar ‘Adua over his failing health , but it was wrong for the PDP to use the president’s health as an avenue to blackmail the opposition parties and hold the country to ransom.

Speaking in the same vein, Senator Tinubu said that members of the AC shall continue to work against internal colonization as done by the PDP which was brought about by the indiscipline of the party.

He said it was even bad of the PDP to be struggling for a successor to the president , while he is alive. He added that that amounted to digging the grave of the PDP and they (AC) will join in doing that. “We will continue the struggle against internal colonisation brought about by the indiscipline of the PDP who are now already jostling for succession for the president when he is still alive. It is the grave of their party they are digging and we should help them dig it,” he stated.

This is most related to PDP, that's what we've known them for. It's not surprising since they've decided to play the game by their rules.
