Adekunle Gold who was a brand manager for a social media activation company before he quit in 2014 to focus on his music career.
The ‘Sade’ crooner was not noticed until he was signed to YBNL by Olamide Badoo in 2015 and quit a year after his deal expire.
He also said in a recent interview that his first trip outside the shore of Nigeria was all thanks to Olamide.
“YBNL moved me. I had Sade before YBNL, it was already getting popular. When I got signed into the label, we shot the video and it became like a sensation every where.
“Getting signed into YBNL took me to London for the first time, that was in 2015, so YBNL change everything for me.
“I am grateful to Olamide for all the support and inspiration.”
When asked on the new project he is working on he said a new sophomore album is on its way to be release in the first quarter of 2018.
